Can coffee be bad for heart health?

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages on the planet and is consumed daily in Brazil, which is the second largest consumer of coffee in the world, behind only the United States.

Moderate coffee consumption has several benefits, such as: appetite suppression, cardiostimulation, and a laxative effect.

However, in high doses, coffee does not have the same positive effects. On the contrary, it increases heart rate and raises the risk of heart attack and other serious complications, potentially leading to sudden death.

The best thing to do is consult a cardiologist to assess your heart health and follow their advice regarding coffee consumption.
