By undergoing a cardiovascular check-up, for example, you can check the condition of your heart and, if anything appears, treat the problem early. The exam is recommended for men from the age of 45 and post-menopausal women. But it is also for people who have a family history of heart attack or sudden death, constant high blood pressure above 139/89 mmHg, obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol and triglycerides, had heart disease in childhood, or are smokers.
